Joey was exposed to television and film at a young age. From the early days of his father showing him Goodfellas, Seinfeld, or The Godfather I & II (The Godfather III wasn’t spoken of in his household) to his teenage years spent consuming the works of Stanley Kubrick and Paul Thomas Anderson, he quickly became enamored with storytelling, especially that of the visual medium. A graduate of Marymount Manhattan College’s Film School, Joey studied under award-winning filmmakers Dan Hunt and Erin Greenwell, and during his second year of college, he was brought onto Jordan Roth’s The Birds & the BS as a line producer. In 2019, Joey joined Sonder Pictures, an NYC/LA-based production company as Creative Director. During his time with Sonder, Joey worked on a collection of original films (EVOL, 2019 / Robbie, 2021 / The Man Behind the Camera, 2021). This past year, Joey brought his original comedy play, Hey That’s My Wife! to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it received critical acclaim from the national newspaper, The Scotsman.
